Overview

The Diploma in Law would provide a student with the essential skills and competencies needed to excel in a legal career. This programme would set the foundations of core areas in law for a student intending to pursue further qualifications in legal studies. The programme is designed to promote a student’s understanding in the core areas of law which are usually the prerequisites towards more advanced law subjects.

This programme is equivalent to Year 1 of a degree programme and is specifically equivalent to Level 4 of UK degree qualifications.

Recognition / Articulation:

University of Hertfordshire
Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Law &  an IELTS scoring of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any bands) or equivalent, students will be eligible to proceed to the Year 2 and year 3 of the Bachelor Laws (LLB)- students will then have the option to take modules which would result in an award of a degree recognised as a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority in the UK.

 

Essex University
Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Law &  an IELTS scoring of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any bands or equivalent), students will be eligible to proceed to the Year 2 and year 3 of the Bachelor Laws (LLB)- students will then have the option to take modules which would result in an award of a degree recognised as a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority in the UK.

 

Nottingham Trent University
Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Law &  an IELTS scoring of 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component) or equivalent, students will be eligible to proceed to the Year 2 and year 3 of the Bachelor Laws (LLB)- students will then have the option to take modules which would result in an award of a degree recognised as a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority in the UK.
