Overview

The Diploma in Digital Transformation aim to provide students with the essential skills and competencies to responsibly take on appropriate jobs with moderate autonomy. The students should possess a combination of knowledge and skill to assist in an organisation’s computing needs. Further, this programme would set the basics for students intending to pursue further qualifications in Information Technology. The programme is designed to promote students’ understanding in the core areas of Information Technology (IT) which are usually the prerequisites towards more advanced IT modules.

Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Digital Transformation with an overall transcript average of 50% and and satisfying the University's Standard English Language Entry Requirements, students will be eligible to proceed to Year 2 of all relevant undergraduate courses in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering.

Upon completion, you will be able to:

possess essential IT knowledge, skills and aptitude to meet an entry level of IT job specifications;
utilise computing tools and techniques by applying knowledge and interpreting information to solve problems;
execute routine tasks and are proficient in the use of relevant tools in their area of training;
perform IT support services;
have effective communication skills to convey information, problems and solutions;
have communication, team and interpersonal skills, and are aware of their social and ethical responsibilities; and
possess skills for lifelong learning and career development.

Entry Requirements:

To enroll into this course, you are required to have:

i) 18 years of age and above; and
ii) GCE A-Level; or Completion of Year 12; or
iii) Completion of less than Year 12 will be considered if it is an official completion of High School in the country of origin; or
iv) IB Diploma; or
v) Pre-university certifications; or
vi) Polytechnic Diploma; or
vii) BAC Foundation Diploma; or
viii) Mature candidates (30 years old or older with 8 years of work experience); or
ix) Other private or foreign qualifications will be assessed on a case by case basis

Language Proficiency
i) Pass BAC English Placement Test; or
ii) IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 525 or PTE Academic 43

Each subject is assessed through coursework and written examinations.
