The CertHE Common Law is a qualification that also provides an entry route to degree study. The modules studied in the CertHE Common Law are the same as the Level 4 modules of the LLB. The CertHE Common Law may be studied either full time or part time.
This course is ideal for:
- Individuals who wish to practice as Lawyers, other than in Singapore (by continuing their studies to complete the LL.B. degree)
- Court clerks, police officers, paralegals/legal secretaries who require additional knowledge or qualifications for purposes of career advancements
- Individuals who have a keen interest in legal and contractual matters and are aspiring to embark into industries such as compliance, human resource and financial advisory
- Individuals motivated by an intellectual interest in law and legal issues

Upon successful completion of the Cert H.E from UOL and satisfying the University's Standard English Language Entry Requirements , students will have the option to proceed to Year 2 and Year 3 of the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with University of Hertfordshire where students will have the option to take modules which would result in an award of a degree recognised as Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority in the UK.
